Metal building and barn insulation in Wichita Falls
Closed cell spray foam that keeps shops and barns cooler in summer, warmer in winter, and stops metal roofs from dripping on cold mornings.

A shop you can work in every month of the year
An uninsulated steel building in North Texas is miserable at both ends of the calendar. In summer the sun beats on the roof and the inside turns into an oven. In winter, after a cold front blows through, the bare metal gets colder than the air inside. On a clear, still morning, moisture from that air condenses on the panels and drips onto trucks, tools and feed.
Closed cell spray foam deals with both problems. It bonds to the steel, so indoor air never touches the cold metal, and it packs a lot of insulation into a thin layer. It also seals seams, screw holes and gaps at the eaves where wind drives dust inside, and it adds stiffness to the panels.
We insulate shops, pole barns, equipment sheds, garages and barndominium shells on ranch and farm land around Henrietta, Holliday, Electra and Iowa Park, plus light commercial metal buildings in Wichita Falls.
- Closed cell spray foam on roof and wall panels
- Condensation control by sealing the metal surface
- Air sealing at seams, fasteners and eave gaps
- Open cell options for finished, heated and cooled spaces

Why closed cell is the usual choice
| Approach | Stops dripping? | Things to know |
|---|---|---|
| Closed cell spray foam | Yes, bonded to the steel | Handles heat, cold, wind and condensation in one layer |
| Open cell spray foam | Not reliably by itself | Can work in conditioned buildings with the right design |
| Faced fiberglass blanket | Only while the facing is intact | Tears and loose seams let air reach the metal |
| Bare metal | No | Hot in summer, cold and wet in winter |

What metal building insulation costs
Closed cell foam is priced by the board foot, one square foot at one inch thick. The roof and wall area and the thickness you need set most of the total. Eave height, whether we need a lift, and how much has to be covered inside also matter.

Metal building questions
Why does my shop roof drip on cold mornings?
- The metal gets colder than the air inside, so moisture in that air condenses on it.
- Closed cell foam bonded to the steel is one of the most reliable fixes.
How thick should the foam be?
- It depends on how you use the building.
- A hay barn needs less than a shop you plan to heat in winter and cool in summer.
Will it keep dust out?
- It seals the seams and fastener holes it covers, which cuts down a lot of blowing dust.
- Doors and vents still need their own seals.
Can you work around equipment?
- Yes. We cover what cannot be moved. An empty building goes faster and costs less.
Do you insulate barndominiums?
- Yes. The living area usually gets a different design than the shop side, priced separately.
